No. As a member of the class (and not the Representative Plaintiff, in whose name the case has been brought), you will not be required to appear in Court. If you are chosen as a representative plaintiff, your appearance in Court may only be required after the class action proceedings have been approved by the Court (this process of approval is referred to as certification in South Africa).

There is no upfront cost to registering for the class action. All costs will be borne by LHL Attorneys, unless and until there is a successful outcome. In the event of a successful outcome, any costs payable by LHL Attorneys will be deducted from the damages award and/or compensation to class members.
